So to summarize my main problem, audio stopped working out of the blue, I updated my drivers and now audio comes out only from headsets and Omen's audio control pannel won't open.

Furthermore, Driver Easy (the third party software I used to scan my drivers) lists Realtek High Definition audio and NVIDIA High Definition Audio as "Unplugged devices", I don't know if this could be relevant or not. Even when i change 'audio device' to '5.1', i get the same result. When I turned it on, I noticed a red cross next to the audio icon on the taskbar, and when I hovered the mouse over it a mesasge saying "No Audio Output Device Is Installed" appeared. Vlc wont play 5.1 for any type of file including actual dvds that i put into my laptop,knowing of course that they are 5.1 audio. Amazing laptop, it has been running with no problems until today. Hello! Around 3 months ago I purchased an Omen laptop, a 15-ce0011a to be exact.
